License
End User License Agreement.
StatEze is proprietary software owned by StatEze Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales. The EULA governs the software's intellectual-property protections; your use of the hosted StatEze service is licensed under the Terms of Service. The summary below describes the EULA's main effects. If anything here conflicts with the canonical EULA, the canonical EULA controls.
1. How use is licensed
Use of the hosted StatEze service is licensed under the Terms of Service, which you accept when you create an account. The EULA itself does not grant any further right to copy, modify, distribute, or use the software outside the hosted service; any such use requires a separate written license from StatEze Limited.
2. Evaluation and beta access
Access to evaluation, beta, preview, or pre-release versions or features is provided under the Terms of Service and the EULA, and may be changed or revoked at any time without notice.
3. Confidentiality
Non-public information, such as source code, internal documentation, and materials expressly shared with you as confidential, must be kept confidential. The publicly observable operation of the service is not confidential: you may share screenshots and recordings, describe and review features, and publish benchmarks of the generally available service, as long as you do not disclose non-public internals or another person's data.
4. Intellectual property
The software and all related intellectual property, including copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patent rights (filed or to be filed), and the “StatEze” name and marks, are owned by StatEze Limited. Nothing on this page or in the EULA grants you any right in those properties except as expressly stated in the Terms of Service or a separate written licence.
5. Third-party components
StatEze incorporates third-party open-source components, each under its own licence. The EULA's restrictions apply to the StatEze software itself, not to those independent open-source components. For the full list of licences, contact info@stateze.com.
6. Commercial licensing
Use by or on behalf of an organization, including university departments, academic research groups, and other institutional or commercial entities, requires a separate commercial licence. To inquire, email info@stateze.com with a description of your intended use.
7. No warranty
The software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. StatEze Limited disclaims, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StatEze Limited's aggregate liability under the EULA is capped at the amount, if any, you have paid for the software in the twelve months preceding a claim. Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, and exemplary damages are excluded. The full liability section in the canonical EULA is controlling.
9. Termination
Access may be terminated for breach (immediately) or for convenience (with 30 days' notice). On termination, you must stop using the software, delete all copies and any confidential information you hold, and certify deletion if requested.
10. Governing law
The EULA and the Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with disputes resolved by arbitration under the LCIA Rules, seated in London. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence are not affected. If you need clarity on which document governs your situation, contact info@stateze.com.
